2010 HMS Medical Student Scholarship

The Hellenic Medical Society of New York has helped students of Greek-American Community medical students to pursue their studies in medicine.  It is an organization co-founded y renowned physicians works for the betterment of Greek-American Community.

Through the various scholarships the organization provides an opportunity to the students who want to aspire as future doctors or who want to pursue their studies and excel in medical fields. The 2010 HMS Medical Scholarship is for those who are:

• Medical Student of Hellenic Heritage originating from New York, Connecticut, New Jersey , Connecticut & pennsylvania
• Must have completed the first year of matriculation in June 2010 from an accredited medical school of United States
• Maintained good academic excellence
• Demonstrated financial need

The information about the scholarship and application is given in: http://www.hmsny.org/scholarship.html .  Along with the application you need to submit :

• GAPSAS or FAFSA analysis
• Letter from school Financial Aid Office stating your financial need
• MCAT & USMLE score
• Recent transcripts for grades and class standing
• 2 photographs
• Parent income tax return 2009
• Candidate’s income tax return

The application along with all the required document must reach the concerned authority no later than July 1, 2010 to:
