Union Plus Education Foundation every year helps the spouses and children of the current and retired members of Union through its Union Plus Scholarship Program. Those who have made up their mind to attend college or university, community college or a technical college or trade school are eligible to apply for this scholarship. In addition to this the applicants should portray academic ability, social awareness and financial need on which the scholarship will be awarded. Once the candidate gets the award he cannot apply it for the next year. The scholarship amount ranges from $ 500-$4,000. The deadline of the application ends on January 31,2010. The Western Union Foundation through its ‘Our World, Our Family program’, since its inception has helped several students which would have been impossible without the cooperation of Western Union Employees, agents and partners around the world. Western Union Family Scholarship Program has been specially designed for migrants, immigrants and their families. The Western Union Foundation’s Family Scholarship Program is a new initiative for migrants, immigrants and their families. The program is intended to help the members of the same family provided that one of the applicants must be born outside United States but both must be currently living in United States. The scholarship amount is $ 1,000 -$ 5,000 per family which can be used for technical or skill training, tuition for college/university education language acquisition classes and financial literacy. MUST Project by The National Aeronautics and Space Administration is managed by the Hispanic College Fund in association with United Negro College Fund Special Programs Corporation and the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers for the students in STEM. It aims at providing educational opportunities for those highly competent students who see themselves as researchers, scientists and innovators of future. The MUST project supports 100 undergraduate every year. They provide a scholarship of $ 10,000 along with paid 10-week NASA summer internship in one of the NASA field centers. The recipient of the scholarship is well taken care of by MUST Professional and Academic Support System (PASS) as far as their tutoring, mentoring and access to various professional developmental activities.
