The Wal- Mart Associate Scholarships Wal Mart is the leading discount department stores. Its operations are organized into three divisions: Wal Mart Store U.S, Sam’s Club & Wal Mart International. It is a profit making public corporation which has come with scholarships for their full time as well as part time employees. Wal Mart Higher Reach Scholarship The students must fulfill following Criteria -US Citizen or permanent legal resident of US -Must be full time or part time employees for at least six consecutive month as of March 2010 -Should be graduated high school By August 1, 2009 or home school diploma or GED equivalency certificates are also eligible. University of Texas-Pan American has several scholarships and grants program for students to pursue their studies further. One such scholarship is for veteran students from Rio Grande Valley Soldiers who have served our country in active duty. The UTPA Valley Heroes Memorial Scholarship is to commemorate those men and women soldiers from Rio Grande Valley who served our country in the Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Operation Iraqi Freedom and gave away their life to serve the cause of the country. The Scholarship is meant for those students who served our country in active duty for a minimum of 6 months. Apart from this the student Must be an undergraduate student 20+ ACT or 930 SAT (if Entering Freshmen) Enrolled atleast half time (6 credit hours) Must have 3.0+ GPA (if returning or transfer student) The scholarship amount is $ 1000 which will be bifurcated and given twice in a year ($ 500 for fall & $ 500 for spring). If you fulfill all the criteria as the deadline for this 2010-2011 academic year is May 1st 2010.
National Council for Jewish Women since its inception have worked selflessly for the betterment of women as far and their education is concerned. Till date it has provided more than $190,000 in grants irrespective of religious belief the student holds. The Scholarships are only meant for the individuals attending school in the greater Los Angeles and some parts of Orange County & Ventura.
