Fashion Institute Of Design & Merchandising is a private college which imparts education in Fashion, Graphics, Interior Design and Entertainment Industries. Its FIDM National Scholarship Competition is talk of the town now. If you think you are creative in one of these fields and can create something wonderful then what you are waiting for, just apply. You only need to high school seniors or graduates and should  not have any prior training in the category of competition they are entering. SMART (The Science, Mathematics and Research for Transformation) is a bright opportunity for students pursuing degrees in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics disciplines.  Brain child of Department of Defence, SMART came to being with the sole aim to bring maximum number of civilian scientists and engineers to work with DoD laboratories. Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship is a merit based service obligation scholarship program designed to motivate and encourage the talented students to enter into the profession of teacher. In other words the Kansas Teacher Service Scholarship wants to create a favorable atmosphere to attract more and more students in teaching field. Eligibility Criteria: A resident of Kansas and pursuing bachelor’s degree programs Licensed teachers pursuing endorsement in hard-to-fill disciplines Master’s degree in hard-to-fill disciplines Group planning to teach in an underserved geographic area with a service obligation of one year of service for each year of award The recipients will receive award of $ 5,000 each academic year and that will continue for four years or five years if enrolled in a five-year course of study requiring graduate work. Hard to fill disciplines for 2010-2011 are: Special Education, Mathematics, Science, Foreign Language and English as a Second Language. Underserved geographic areas for the 2010-2011 are: USD 501 Topeka, USD 500 Kansas City, KS; USD 259 Wichita and State Board Of Education Area including all of Western 1/3 of the State Of Kansas.
