The Hellenic Medical Society of New York has helped Greek-American Community medical students to pursue their studies in medicine.  It is an organization co-founded by renowned physician’s efforts for the betterment of Greek-American Community. Through the various scholarships and Grants, the organization provides an opportunity to the students who want to aspire as future doctors or who want to pursue their studies and excel in medical fields. The Leonidas Lantzounis Research Grant of $ 2,500 has been made available by the Hellenic Medical Society of New York will be provided for basic or clinical biomedical research for the summer 2010. The research needs to be conducted under a senior investigator who will provide supervision, equipment and space. Also some specific requirements are to borne by the applicant itself. AEN Academy Of Emergency Nursing which also runs Emergency Nursing Association Foundation (ENAF) which is a charitable non-profit, tax exempt corporation. The purpose of the foundation is to improve and enhance emergency health care services for the public. It promotes research and education in emergency care and supports all administrative functions of ENAF. The ENAF offers CEN Renewal Assistance Scholarship. The scholarship is for current CEN candidates expiring between October 2010 and June 2011. In order to be eligible the applicant must be a current member of ENA. 14 candidates will be selected for the scholarship and their Full CEN Renewal Fee will be paid by the academy.
