Ohio Cattlemen’s Association works with a purpose. Its main focus is to look for the welfare of the Ohio’s Cattle Producer. And to promote their economic, political and social needs. They also provide financial support to those who are pursuing their studies in agriculture. To know more about the below given scholarships and applications log on to: http://www.ohiocattle.org/Scholarships. 2010 Tagged For Greatness Scholarship: this scholarship will be awarded to four college student of $1,000 who are enrolled in an agriculture program or a graduating high school senior who plans to study agriculture at a college or university. Application deadline is October 31, 2010. Cattlemen’s Country Club Scholarship: those who are enrolled in an agriculture program or graduating high school seniors who have plans to study agriculture at a college or university. Three recipients will be chosen for the scholarship who will receive $ 1,000 each to pursue their studies. Application deadline is October 31, 2010. Ohio Cattlewomen Scholarships: The scholarship is meant for outstanding students who are entering their college junior or senior in the state of Ohio. Applicant attending a school in Ohio will be given preference. Application deadline is December 15, 2010

The Scholarship sets the benchmark for excellence in agriculture. Eligibility Criteria: Must be enrolled in the College of Food, Agriculture and Environmental Sciences at The Ohio State University Applicant must currently have sophomore standing at OSU and a 3.0 grade point average The recipients will receive the amount in three parts, after selection will receive $ 2000, the second part of $1,500 if you maintain good standing and a GPA of 3.0 and you would receive third part that is $1,500 when you achieve a senior standing and maintain a 3.0 GPA. The Arkansas Department of Higher Education works for the development of each publicly supported colleges and universities in the Arkansas and to promote a coordinated system of higher education. In short it aims at improving the quality of higher education for all Arkansans. The Go! Opportunities Grant is a need based and state-funded college grant program for full time as well as part time college freshmen. The full time students will receive $ 1,000 award amount and for the part time is $500 . Those who complete 12 semester credit hours for the first fall semester and 15 semester credit hours thereafter will be considered as full time student whereas those who complete 6 semester credit hours will be considered as part time students.
