The Society Of Sponsors of United States Navy is an organization of women who serve as ship sponsors. It also works towards providing educational opportunities for women and men who have served in United States Navy and Marine Corps. The scholarship Society of Sponsors of the United States Navy Centennial Scholarship Program is there to help Navy-Marine Corps veterans who were injured in combat. Five eligible candidates will receive $3,000 annual scholarship each for their education related expenses. The best part is there is no deadline for you to apply. The financial assistance is offered in large scale and the foundation is well supported and helped through various scholarship funds. Edward T. Conroy Memorial Scholarship is strictly meant for Maryland veterans and Military Family Members enrolled in online colleges, campus based academic universities, vocational schools, technical colleges or training programs within the state. Eligibility Requirements: The applicant or Veteran must be a resident of Maryland Applicant must be a son or daughter of a veteran who died or became 100 percent disabled as a result of military service. Must be a veteran with 25 percent or more of disability as a result of direct military service and you must be either exhausted or become no longer eligible for Federal educational benefits for veterans Must be a son, daughter or non married widow or widower of the victim who lost his life in September 11, 2001 terrorist attack.
