Arkansas Hospitality Association is a non-profit organization having several organizations working under it. To name the few, Arkansas Lodging Association, Arkansas Restaurant Association and The Arkansas Travel Council that works with the main organization to promote public awareness regarding the industry and  offers training and education programs on food and alcohol safety, student training programs and more to build the future of the hospitality industry in Arkansas.

Arkansas Hospitality Association has come up with a hospitality industry scholarship for entering Freshman, with the individual awards ranging from $ 500-$ 2,000for the 2010-2011 academic year. The partial fund contribution had been provided by the Co-Branded Scholarship Program of the National Restaurant Association Education Foundation.

Eligibility

  • A resident of Arkansas
  • Currently enrolled in full time AHA – approved Hospitality Program
  • Willingness to be a part and parcel of Hospitality Industry of Arkansas
  • Other Requirements to be attached with the application

For returning Post Secondary Students

  • 2.5 G.P.A
  • An official college Transcripts
  • Two recommendation letters from the people working in Hospitality industry or hospitality instructors

For Freshman:

  • Two recommendation letters from the people working in Hospitality industry or hospitality instructors
  • Official High School Transcript
  • Copy of acceptance letter to a post secondary hospitality program
