Mary M Gooley who felt the urge to do something for the people with bleeding disorders joined hands with The Rochester Chapter Of The National Hemophilia Foundation and thus came the Mary Gooley Hemophilia Center. The center is proud to be the first free standing comprehensive clinic in the nation.
It aims at providing medical assistance to patients with broad range of services including preventive care. The center is offering educational scholarship to honor Bob Hersh who was actively involved in community services. The Bob Hersh Memorial Scholarship offers financial assistance to deserving students.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Must be enrolled in post secondary program
- Planning to enroll in a course of study in a 2 or 4 year college/university, vocational technical school program or certified training program
- High school seniors, graduate or students in good standing
- directly or indirectly affected with Hemophilia, von Willebrand Disease, hereditary bleeding disorder
The chosen candidates will be awarded $ 1,000 each. The application has been made availble at www.hemocenter.org . Complete the application and send it to:
