The Second Dragoons Foundation does charitable work for members of armed services and their families like providing financial assistance for them. The E.E Mixon Second Dragoons Foundation Scholarship serves the same purpose. The scholarship has been designed especially to help the former cavalrymen or the children of current or former cavalrymen to pay for their college expenses. Members and children of members of other Army Units will also be considered. The eligible applicants need to submit a 500 word essay from one of the following topic given below: How our military presence in Europe contributed to the end of the Cold War. The role of the non-commissioned officer corps in the U.S military. What America means to me. Along with the essay you need to attach a cover sheet wherein you will furnish your personal details like contact information, educational goals, projected or current field of study and detailed personal or family affiliation with a cavalry unit. The Society Of Sponsors of United States Navy is an organization of women who serve as ship sponsors. It also works towards providing educational opportunities for women and men who have served in United States Navy and Marine Corps. The scholarship Society of Sponsors of the United States Navy Centennial Scholarship Program is there to help Navy-Marine Corps veterans who were injured in combat. Five eligible candidates will receive $3,000 annual scholarship each for their education related expenses. The best part is there is no deadline for you to apply. Navy Marine Corps Relief Society is a private non-profit charitable organization and its main aim is to serve the members of the National Services of The United States, eligible family members and survivors by providing financial, educational and other assistance. Through its scholarships no-interests loans the organization has helped several students who are in financial need. The Joseph A McLinden Divers Scholarship is a need based scholarship for study or research in ocean agriculture. Eligibility Criteria: Must be certified Navy or Marine Corps diver on active duty or retired An unmarried child of an active duty or retired Navy or Marine Corps diver The spouse of a Navy or Marine Corps diver on active duty or retired Must be full time undergraduate or graduate student in a traditional class room setting at a post-secondary, technical or vocational institution in a program of study in Oceanography, Ocean Agriculture or Aquaculture.
