The California-Hawaii Elks Major Project Inc. board of trustees have made up their mind to give away more than $ 40,000 for academic year 2010-2011 in the form of scholarship for students with disabilities. It’s an undergraduate educational scholarship which will give four year’s assistance to the recipient of the scholarship. The scholarship amount is $ 1,000 to $ 2,000 each and which will be given to 20 to 30 students. It’s a need based scholarship and the funds are intended to be used to cover the academic expenses, tuition, books, lab fees and on-campus room and board. Candidates with physical impairment, visual impairment, neurological impairment, hearing impairment or speech-language disorder. This scholarship is a financial needs-based and academic use scholarship intended for undergraduate work at a licensed vocational school, accredited community college or four-year college.
