AARP Foundation believes in, “Where There Is Education, There’s Future” works in making woman 40+ self reliant and achieve financial independence. The scholarship fund is to render help to middle aged women in seeking new job skills, training, and educational opportunities to support themselves and their families. Eligibility Criteria: Women 40 and above (as of March 31, 2010) Demonstrating financial need Enrolled in technical program or accredited school within 6 months of scholarship award date. US citizen The scholarship amount is up to $ 5000 and the last date for sending application is March 31, 2010 midnight. National Council for Jewish Women since its inception have worked selflessly for the betterment of women as far and their education is concerned. Till date it has provided more than $190,000 in grants irrespective of religious belief the student holds. The Scholarships are only meant for the individuals attending school in the greater Los Angeles and some parts of Orange County & Ventura. Scholarship is given to those who depict clear goals in their life and determination to achieve them. Applicants are eligible to apply for only two scholarships per cycle. Google has several scholarship programs to support the students coming from various fields of education. One such scholarship is Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for students who want to pursue their studies in computing and technology. Google aims at encouraging more and more female students to take interest and excel in computing and technology. Applications are invited from female undergraduate and graduate students who are enrolled in the graduate program in Computer Science or Computer Engineering or related to some technical field for the academic year 2010-2011 in the University of United States. The Google Anita Borg Memorial scholarship being a global program, citizens, permanent residents and international students are eligible.
