The Christopher Petkin Memorial Scholarship has been created by Hemophilia Foundation Of Southern California in the memory of Chris Petkin who was a health policy consultant, advocate, president of foundation and a leader in the hemophilia community.
To apply for this scholarship one needs to be:
- The member of Hemophilia Community
- Men or women with hemophilia or other bleeding disorders
- Spouse, partners, parents, children and siblings of the person with hemophilia or other bleeding disorder
- Individuals living with hemophilia and HIV are encouraged to apply
The complete application packet must include:
- Two letters of recommendation (teacher, guidance counselor, employer, doctor, nurse, social worker, friend of family, community leader)
- Current transcript
- Proof of enrollment in an educational or vocational institution
