The Frank L. GreatHouse Government Accounting Scholarship is available for full time graduate and undergraduate students who are pursuing their career in state and local government finance. To get this scholarship one needs to be pursuing it’s graduate or undergraduate accounting program and should have a recommendation from your academic advisor or the accounting program chair.

The scholarship amount is $ 5,000 and will be given to those candidates who fulfill all the criteria of scholarship committee.

The application packet must include:

  • Undergraduate and graduate grade transcripts
  • Letter of recommendation from Academic Advisor
  • Resume
  • Statement of proposed career plan in state and local government finance.

The application form (http://www.gfoa.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=96&Itemid=107)along with other credentials should reach the Government Finance Officers Association, Scholarship Committee, 203 North LaSalle Street, Suite 2700 Chicago Illinois no later than March 5, 2010.
