Gen and Tanabe Scholarship, a scholarship named after the famous authors and have eleven books in their credit on admission and scholarships. The scholarship is purely merit based and has nothing to do with financial need. Those with good academic background and quality of the submitted personal statement will make them get this award.

The first priority to opt for this scholarship is, the student must be the legal citizen of US who is currently in school or is planning to join school within next 12 month. Also 9th -12th grade high school, college, graduate student or adult students are also eligible.

The best part is the students interested to apply for this scholarship gets enough time. In addition to this there are two deadlines one in Fall and the other in spring. The deadline for spring is January 1, 2010-July 31, 2010 and for Fall is August 1, 2010-December 31, 2010.
