National Council for Jewish Women since its inception have worked selflessly for the betterment of women as far and their education is concerned. Till date it has provided more than $190,000 in grants irrespective of religious belief the student holds. The Scholarships are only meant for the individuals attending school in the greater Los Angeles and some parts of Orange County & Ventura. Scholarship is given to those who depict clear goals in their life and determination to achieve them. Applicants are eligible to apply for only two scholarships per cycle. One such scholarship is Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship for students who want to pursue their studies in computing and technology. One such scholarship is Fall 2010 Getaway Award Program for first year students. The scholarship is the combination of need based aid and merit and is awarded to those who fall in this category. The Scholarship has six categories: Gateway Excellence Scholarship: Those with g.p.a of 3.0 (4.0)scale with a ACT composite score of 32 or combined math and critical reading SAT score of at least 1400.
