For such childhood cancer survivors The National Children’s Cancer Society lends a helping hand to attend college and explore their capabilities and aspire their dreams. The N.C.C.S ‘s Beyond The Cure Scholarship has already helped many such students , Applications are invited for 2010-2011 academic year scholarship. To get this scholarship the applicant must be the citizen of United States, a childhood cancer survivor under the age of 25 years and diagnosed with cancer before 18 years of age, and a student of accredited educational institution. The application packet must include: Oncologist’s letter, confirming and mentioning the year of diagnosis. The International Dyslexic Association, Southwest Branch aims in assisting those Dyslexic individuals who are enrolled for a minimum 9 hours with a certified post secondary career-technical program. SWIDA offers 1,000 annually to those who are currently enrolled in certified program. To qualify for this Scholarship students should be diagnosed with specific learning disability affecting their educational performance. All the required materials by 15 March 2010. The scholarship will be awarded to the recipients by June 15 2010.
