Americans for UNFPA is a U.S based organization funded by private foundations, corporations and individual donors. The organization works to provide a better life to women worldwide. To take care of health and dignity always remains the foremost motto of the organization.

Through its Award,  the organization felicitates student who has shown a whole hearted contribution towards the cause of women. The Student Award for the Health & Dignity of Women is meant for a student who depicts a true commitment towards health and promotion of the rights of women.

Eligibility:

  • Desire to improve the ways that Government agencies, non-profit organization or educational institutions support the health and dignity of women.
  • Involved in community service or extra-curricular activities which depicts the interest of the candidate in collaboration, activism, leadership or global change
  • Must be a open minded, culturally sensitive and leadership qualities befitting to the mission of UNFPA

For the year 2011, the application will be made available from September 2010. The award amount is $ 1,000 and will be given to that candidate who fulfills all the criteria’s.

The deadline for the submission of the application is December 10, 2010
The Student Award for the Health and Dignity of Women will recognize one student who demonstrates commitment to women’s health and/or the promotion of the rights of women.
