In US, more than 70,000 young adults, falling prey to various types of life threatening cancers. The name itself brings shivers down our spine but some have braved through their way. The ULMAN Cancer Fund works tirelessly to support, educate and empower young adult cancer survivors. The UCF Young Adults wants to make the post treatment life of the youngsters meaningful. Cancer survivors seeking higher education will be supported financially by The Ulman Cancer Fund For Young Adults National College Scholarship Program. The awards will be granted through five different scholarship categories, applicant is allowed to apply for just one category. The SAMFund is a non-profit organization who helps survivors of cancer by providing them financial support through the distribution of grants and scholarship. They provide various grants and scholarships to young adult survivors to compensate the money used during treatment and can be utilized for education, fertility options, living, job search and medical expenses. To apply for this scholarship the applicant need to be between the ages of 17-35 and finished with the cancer treatment. Also the applicant must be the citizen of United states. In addition to this you need to submit a Letter Of Intent. Patient Advocate Foundation works to support patients with chronic, life threatening illness and assists them with Medical Debt Crisis, Insurance Access Issues and Job Retention Issues. It also provides monetary help to cancer survivors in the form of scholarship for students to pursue their education. The applicant must be under 25 years of age and a survivor or a patient diagnosed with cancer or any other critical illness. The application is available at : http://www.patientadvocate.org/events.php?p=69, Every column in the application must be filled correctly and completely and must include following details and documents: An essay of 1,000 words on how their diagnosis has impacted their lives and their future goals Copy of acceptance letter from the college, university, or vocational-technical school planning to attend. Letter from your oncologist stating your medical history Two letters of recommendation from non-related persons Official high school or college transcript Copy of first two pages of tax returns The scholarship amount is $ 1000 each and will be send directly to the college, university or vocational training school and the authorities will manage the funds for you.
