National Society Daughters of the American Revolution is a non-profit, non-political volunteer women’s service organization solely dedicated towards infusing the feeling of patriotism among youngsters and make the future of Americans bright through better education imparted to them.
The DAR Scholarship Committee awards scholarship to deserving applicants which are mostly multi-year scholarships, renewable up to four consecutive years. The Alice W. Rooke Scholarship is a medical scholarship for students who are currently enrolled in an accredited university or college for the studies of medical doctor.
Applicants planning to opt for this scholarship must obtain a letter of sponsorship from their local DAR Chapter. You can take the help of your State Scholarship Chairman in finding the closest chapter.

The scholarship amount is $ 5, 000 and the recipient will get it for all the four years provided that renewal transcript is submitted to above given address. The last date for the application submission is April 15, 2010.
