I am really happy that people do consider those people as worthy of getting financial aid for education who are actively involved and rendered their time and energy in community services. The Prudential Spirit Of Community Awards is for such people.
The award is only based on volunteer community service which was created by Prudential in partnership with the National Association of Secondary School Principals. The award aims at honoring those middle level and high school students for the selfless services they are providing to others in their towns and neighborhood.
The best part the program is not just restricted in USA it is also conducted in Japan, South Korea, Taiwan and Ireland. If you feel you are one just contact the scholarship office of your school for the application deadline for its submission.
Eligibility:
- Candidate currently in grades 5-12 as of November 1 during the applying year
- Legal resident of any US State or Washington DC
- Active in volunteering activity that occurred 12 months before the date of application
The application you fill in must be certified by your principal. But in case you are not the student who is participating in this program nor you’re a member of officially designated local organization can still apply for the award. Your application will not be accepted until and unless you certify it from your Principal.
