The Sequoyah Graduate Scholarship is being offered by Association On American Indian Affairs to the students in any curriculum. The scholarship amount is $ 1,500.
Eligibility:
- Must be Native American/ Alaska Native from the Continental US or Alaska
- Applicant must be enrolled in an any federally recognized or non-recognized tribe
- Must be of ¼ Indian Blood
- Must be graduating high school senior, current college freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate and doctoral students from an accredited college or university
- Must be seeking an associate degree or higher
The application is available on the website: http://www.indian-affairs.org/scholarships/sequoyah.htm. the application packet must include:
- Certificate of Indian Blood showing atleast ¼ Indian Blood
- Proof Of Tribal enrollment
- One to three page essay mentioning your educational and post graduate goals as well as life experiences
- Two letters of recommendation (employers, professors, ministers,teachers, coaches etc)
- Copies of official transcript
