The Sequoyah Graduate Scholarship is being offered by Association On American Indian Affairs to the students in any curriculum. The scholarship amount is $ 1,500.

Eligibility:

  • Must be Native American/ Alaska Native from the Continental US or Alaska
  • Applicant must be enrolled in an any federally recognized or non-recognized tribe
  • Must be of ¼ Indian Blood
  • Must be graduating high school senior, current college freshman, sophomores, juniors, seniors, graduate and doctoral students from an accredited college or university
  • Must be seeking an associate degree or higher

The application is available on the website: http://www.indian-affairs.org/scholarships/sequoyah.htm. the application packet must include:

  • Certificate of Indian Blood showing atleast ¼ Indian Blood
  • Proof Of Tribal enrollment
  • One to three page essay mentioning your educational and post graduate goals as well as life experiences
  • Two letters of recommendation (employers, professors, ministers,teachers, coaches etc)
  • Copies of official transcript
