Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG) is an excellent program for low-income undergraduate students of U.S as it allows them for postsecondary education.
The needy students can use this program by filling a Free Application for Federal Student Aid through any of participating postsecondary institutions of the country; where in the financial aid administrators of participating institutions hold right for determining the amount of FSEOG awards to provide to eligible students, especially those, who are with exceptional need.
As far as the funding program of FSEOG is concerned, the funds are first distributed to institutions on the basis of the institution's base guarantee plus the pro rata share and then on the basis of the aggregate need of the eligible undergraduate students in attendance. The other main factor of FSEOGās funding is that the participating Institutions have to necessarily contribute 25 percent of the funding.
