Idaho is a state where finding a grant or scholarship can be a bit difficult but not impossible. Being a resident of Idaho, you may be eligible for several different grants that can help you enroll into the college or university of your choice.
The Idaho State Board of Education administers a number of state funded grants and scholarships not only for the resident students of this state but also for the out-of-state students who are interested in attending school in Idaho, for minorities, educators and even for healthcare professionals. Some other grants offered by the state of Idaho include:
- Leveraging Educational Assistance State Partnership Program(LEAP): Originally entitled as the Idaho State Student Incentive Grant, this grant is especially offered in order to attract out-of-state students to attend colleges and universities in Idaho. The grant is awarded for an amount of $5000 and also covers for tuition expences.
- R. Lee Promise Category B Scholarship : In order to be eligible for this grant, the students must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Special Grants are available for all those having interests in nursing as well as for healthcare professionals.
