For more than 100 years, Friends University in Wichita, Kansas, has been providing a Christian-based, liberal arts education to students of all ages and denominations. The University remains committed to its core curriculum: the arts and sciences. A broad-based education-one that truly expands the horizons and frees the mind-is our goal for every student. This is also expressed in our commitment to teaching and to the personal growth of each Friends University student. As a nondenominational Christian university, Friends University incorporates learning within the context of the Christian faith. In recent years, Friends University has developed a unique blend of strong traditional programs and strong nontraditional undergraduate and graduate programs for busy adults. The foundation of Friends University has been and continues to be the traditional undergraduate program. More than 1,000 students enroll in this program and take courses on a semester basis for several years. These students are actively involved in the life of the institution and live in the residence halls, provide leadership through student government, plan student events, and participate in athletic and fine arts activities.
