As an RTO we are able to offer Nationally Recognised Accredited Training which complies with Vocational Education Training & Accreditation (VETAB) guidelines and legislation. We pride ourselves on the quality of adult education and training courses which we deliver. We also provide a variety of leisure courses to meet our local community’s needs. Our program is very broad, ranging from computer, business and vocational training to language, health and well-being, cooking and arts. We offer special courses for seniors as well as a flexible, accessible, customised training for employers and job seekers. We also offer English Language programs for people from Non-English speaking backgrounds (NESB). These programs are among the largest in rural NSW. In September 2009, Coffs Coast Community College was advised that we had successfully secured funding as part of the Investing in Community Education & Training (ICET) element of the Australian Government’sTeaching & Learning Capital Fund (TLCF) for Vocational Education & Training (VET). This funding will enable the College to purchase new equipment as well as replace ageing infrastructure. The funding will also greatly assist in fitting out our new training rooms opened in May 2009 with furniture and teaching aids, including establishing a “clinical skills” training room for students undertaking study in Aged Care or Helth related study.
