TRAINTECH 2000 offers a wide range of vocational and recreational Horse Management courses which have been developed to open pathways for those wishing to learn how to work with and to enjoy horses. We have a suitable program for you, whether you are interested in a short introductory program or a longer period of formal training. The TRAINTECH 2000 centre is comprised of a college building and a multipurpose Training Centre.The college is the headquarters for management, teaching and general staff.
We also offer Holiday Tours for people wanting to come to the Gold Coast. TRAINTECH 2000 can organise your short term holiday stay. Programs include farm stay, horse riding, English classes and visits to popular Gold Coast theme parks and attractions.
Traintech 2000 offers following Courses.
Certificate III in Racing – (Advanced Stablehand) :
A course of study for people who intend to work in the horse industry. This course is a pathway and the beginning of a number of options in the Equine Industry.
Certificate III in RacinG – (Trackrider):
To develop students in general horse management skills commonly used in the horse racing industry with special emphasis being given to the skills required to ride racehorses in trackwork.
Certificate IV in Racing – (Jockey):
To provide students with the skills required for entry into an apprenticeship as a jockey. The course will develop oral and written communication, numeracy relevant to racing, personal organisation, personal business management, stable management, race day procedures and race riding skills.
CERTIFICATE IV IN RACING – (Thoroughbred OWNER Trainer):
To meet the needs of people who wish to gain formal qualifications to become a registered trainer of thoroughbred horses.
