  • Eligibility Criteria :
    Be a U.S. citizen or registered permanent resident. Have a goal of becoming a print journalism professional. Have ties to the Mid-Atlantic/ Southern region. Be a member of a minority group—Asian, Hispanic, African American, Native American. Be a college sophomore enrolled full time (at least 12 credit hours per semester) in a 4-year degree program. Provide copy of college transcript showing a GPA of 2.5 or better. Have a personal vehicle for necessary on-the-job transportation during the workday. Compete on the basis of grades, work samples, financial needs, recommendations and targeted selection interview skills. Be able to pass a preemployment drug screening. Your internship will be during the summer between your sophomore and junior years and again between your junior and senior years. At the end of each summer, you’ll be awarded a $5,000 scholarship. And when you graduate, you’re eligible for a 1-year internship with full benefits and the possibility of continuing employment.
