  • Eligibility Criteria :
    Must be a member of the American Legion or the Auxiliary, or Sons of the American Legion and shall have paid dues for the 2 preceding years and for the calendar year in which application is made; a non-traditional student returning to the classroom after some period of time in which his/her formal education was interrupted or a student who has had at least 1 year of college and is in need of financial assistance to pursue an undergraduate degree. Based on need, scholastic standing/academic achievement, character/leadership, and initiative/goals (25% each).

    Send application, signed by the Unit President and the Education Chairman of the unit sponsoring the applicant with copies of veteran’s DD 214, high school transcript, college transcript (if applicable), work history, and FAFSA.
