Eligibility Criteria :
Applicants must be instrumental soloists between the ages of 15 and 20 who are resident of the UK and have demonstrated both exceptional talent and achievement. Financial assistance is provided only for traveling expenses to attend national or international competitions, master classes within the UK or abroad, and specific assistance in the case of hardship. Funding is not given for full-time study or instrument purchase.

How To Apply :
Submit a biography or C.V.; full details of the project you are applying for assistance with and an indication of all costs involved; a cassette, CD, or video recording (minimum 30 minutes) that has been recorded within the last 6 months and which includes at least 3 contrasting works from different periods, including classical and contemporary; and 2 references under sealed cover (on the forms provided): 1 from your current teacher and 1 from a prominent musician. Your biography or C.V. should include information on the age at which your studies commenced; a list of teachers and dates of study with each; a list of examinations taken (if any) with dates and results; name, date, and result of any national or international competition in which you have competed; and details of solo concert experience within the last 2 years and of future solo engagements both confirmed and unconfirmed.
