  • Eligibility Criteria :
    Intended to provide support to U.S. undergraduates who will pursue the study of languages and cultures currently underrepresented in study abroad and critical to U.S. national security. Must be U.S. citizen matriculated at a U.S. university or college. Provides a unique funding opportunity for U.S. students to study world regions critical to U.S. interests (including Africa, Asia, Central & Eastern Europe, Latin American and the Caribbean, and the Middle East). Must be matriculated in an undergraduate degree program in a U.S. university, college or community college accredited by an accrediting body recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, and applying to engage in a study abroad experience in a country outside of Western Europe, Canada, Australia, or New Zealand that meets home institution standards.
