Description This scholarship is established in memory of United States Supreme Court Justice Thurgood Marshall in honor of his many significant contributions to the causes of civil rights and equal opportunity. It will assist students, preferably African American students, studying at any campus in the University of Hawai’i system to attain their educational goals.

Eligibility Criteria Student, preferably African American, enrolled full-time or accepted at any campus of the University of Hawai’i. Academic merit as demonstrated by cumulative grade point average of 2.5 in college for continuing students or 3.0 in high school for entering students; Evidence of financial need; Evidence of community leadership or service; State of Hawai’i resident for tuition purposes.
