| Eligibility Criteria |
Applicants to the Early Promise Scholarship Program must be: Graduating seniors attending high schools in Vermont’s Orleans, Essex, or Caledonia county OR New Hampshire’s Coos or Grafton county. Students who are the first in their immediate family to attend college. (Neither of the student’s parents or primary guardians have completed a four-year degree.) Pell-eligible OR currently eligible for free/reduced lunch. Students who cannot complete a FAFSA must submit a written statement explaining why. Students who plan to enroll full-time at Lyndon State College. Willing to participate in follow-up activities with the Leahy Center for Rural Students (e.g., online communication, surveys, workshops, etc.)
