Open to recipients of Purple Heart and their children, stepchildren, grandchildren, and greatgrandchildren who are direct descendents of either a lifetime member or a current annual member or a member who was in good standing at the time of death or a veteran killed in action or who died of wounds (documentation required) who did not have an opportunity to join the MOPH. MOPH member in good standing or a Purple Heart recipient. Must be a citizen of the U.S., a graduate or upcoming graduate of an accredited high school, 2.75 GPA or greater, accepted by or enrolled in a full-time college, university or trade school. Academic achievement, community service, school activities, financial need and recommendations considered, and accepted by or enrolled as a full-time student (12 or more semester credit hours, or 18 quarter credit hours) at a U.S. college, university or trade school at the time the scholarship is awarded.
