May not be used as a substitute for or diminish any other award, grant or scholarship. The combined benefits from all sources may not exceed the cost of tuition, fees and university-provided room and board.

  • Eligibility Criteria :
    Open to U.S. citizens or permanent resident aliens enrolled in an accredited institution of higher education; have a GPA of at 3.5 (or equivalent); demonstrate outstanding potential and high academic achievements; and fit into 1 of 2 NIAF scholarship categories: Category I—Italian- American students (must have 1 ancestor who has emigrated from any region in Italy), area of study open; Category II—students from any ethnic background majoring or minoring in Italian language, Italian studies, Italian American studies or a related field. Scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic performance, field of study, career objectives, and potential commitment and ability to make significant contributions to their chosen field of study. Some scholarships awarded on basis of financial need.
