Eligibility Criteria :Open to undergraduate members to fund research in strength and conditioning that falls within the mission of the NSCA. A faculty member is required to serve as co-investigator in the study. Also considered are grades/GPA, courses completed, overall academic achievement, strength and conditioning experience, NSCA involvement (must be an NSCA member for at least 1 year prior to application deadline; high school students may sign up for membership at time of application), essay (clarity, expression, goals, lucidity, grammar, and articulateness), and recommendations.

With application include current résumé, school transcript from each school attended or attending, abstract, 2 copies of proposal-up to 10 single-spaced pages: rationale (2), study purpose (1), methods (7); references; itemized budget; time schedule; “Human Subject Consent Form” and proof of review board approval; and abbreviated vitae of the faculty co-investigator.
