    Students grades 10-12, who are residents of, or studying with, an instrumental teacher in the area of the metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, District of Columbia; in Maryland counties of Frederick, Montgomery, Prince George’s; in Virginia counties of Arlington, Fairfax, Loudoun, and Prince William; or Virginia cities of Alexandria and Falls Church. Preliminary audition, followed by final audition at the Kennedy Center, Washington, DC. Performers under professional management are not eligible.
