Applicant must be of Native Hawaiian ancestry as determined by the UH System Application (the admissions
application) and Applicant must be a resident of Hawaii, Applicant must demonstrate financial need as determined by completing the UHWO financial aid process, Applicant must be a classified student with no prior baccalaureate or graduate degree, Applicant must be making Satisfactory Academic Progress, Applicant must be enrolled at least half-time (6-credits) at UHWO in semester(s) of award. |

For students who may not have indicated Native Hawaiian on their admission application, a copy of the birth certificate must be submitted with this scholarship application. And 1)Complete and sign this scholarship application.
2) Attach a personal statement explaining why you feel you qualify for this waiver. Your personal statement
should include the following: Education and Career Goals and your progress toward them, Extra- and Co-curricular activities, including Work experience, Commitment to serve Hawaii and its people
3) Submit your application & personal statement by Friday – May 6, 2011 to the UHWO Student Services
